When I got into djing from playing two songs fading volumes on YouTube then my Winamp & iTunes etc , I came across pioneer cdjs but was not satisfied . Then I bought my first Dj Controller & Sound card from Native Instruments & now I can assure that these are enough to play a house party or a big Gig so on! I would recommend these to every upcoming digital dj who wants to have his own tool ! Also I use Dj Headphones RHP-20 from Reloop which are pretty good in looks & sounds amazing too ! So when ever I pack my bags for a Gig I have my MacBook + My 3 Idiots & I am ready :)
